Summary of 2007

2007 has been a great year with moving house, a change in jobs and life with Harry as a toddler.
In February we moved to Noranda and have been enjoying our new space, garden, nearby park and neighbourhood. It took quite some time to find it and we know we will be happy here for many years. Most of our work has been in the garden and we will update the interior once Harry is older. There is a wonderful lemon tree, veggie patch, a double garage and the added extras of a verandah, cathedral ceilings, air conditioning, reticulation and a dishwasher!
March was Harry's second birthday and it was a celebration for all.
A banana clock cake (with hands at 2 o'clock) went down a treat along with story time, playtime , party food and a few beers. Feature birthdays for this year include Ed, Jean and Pete's 60th Birthday and Grandma Booker's 80th.
The second half of the year was a change for both Roley and I. Roley started a new position with the international firm PPR (Professional Public Relations) and I enrolled in postgraduate study in Librarianship. I am working part time at ECU Uni library and really enjoy the people and the work.

There is still room for our love of music. Viola Blue String quartet has another busy wedding season until early 2008 and Roley participated in the Weekend Warrior project in November. His set with the Six Pistols was all things rock n roll and was very tight, polished and professional with plans to continue on as a band. I have started playing piano again after a year's wait as the Beale (1906?) underwent some restoration work.

Harry has made excellent progress this year and met all the development milestones for a pre-term baby without any issues. He started the year running (after a very brief time walking) and has mastered the art of jumping, little sentences, push bike manoeuvres, being a bit bossy and boisterous. Harry attends swimming and Kindygym classes and is in daycare 2 days per week with carers that he adores. I hope he will understand Christmas much better this year as a quick sit on Santa's knee last year resulted in fear and horror. We have bought him a very cool outdoor fort with a slide and know that he will be totally spoilt by Grandparents and Uncle Jeff.
